John Denver, a singer-songwriter of Colorado who specialized in folk-pop music touched the hearts of millions. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. is a New Mexican born musician and singer who fell in love with Colorado. Denver's iconic anthems for Colorado have been a major influence on many to move to the state. G. Brown of Colorado Music Hall of Fame, the director of this hall of fame said: "I don't believe there anyone else who has as much a connection to Colorado like John Denver." In 2011, Denver was named the first Hall of Fame inductee. Denver has been the symbol of Colorado to the people all over.
